The release of iClone G2 Character
base models will unleash your creativity in producing
contents. The base models can be divided into
four parts: (1) G2 Standard base model;
(2) G2 Nude base model; (3) G2 CloneCloth base
model; (4) G2 Character Max Template.
iClone G2 Characters have 9 typical body shapes
with refined bone structures, enhanced mesh and
skin texture resolution, better motion and posing
quality. In particular, CloneCloth Characters
provide dual layers of Cloth mesh: the skin layer
and the cloth layer. Simply modify the opacity
texture with any image editor and you can design
as many different clothing styles as you can imagine.

The Procedure to Package
Your G2 Texture
The most significant difference
between G1 and G2 submission is that
the VNS files of G2 base models will
not be included in your pack. Please
refer to Reallusion EULA
for more info. In other words, if you
want to sell a character as VNS file,
you need to transform the Max template
into a different shape of character
first. As to the submission type of
G2 Texture, your character must be disassembled
into various kinds of textures like
upper body, lower body, shoes, and skin.
To clarify your submission process,
follow the easy steps below:
Step
1:
Step
2:
Prepare your complete work and
save it as VNS file under
the category of "Character".
This VNS file is only for
verification since this character
VNS file won't be included
in your pack.
Under "Upper body",
click "export diffuse",
"export opacity",
etc. to save your texture images.
Step
3:
Step
4:
Under "Lower body",
click "export diffuse",
"export
opacity",etc. to save your
texture images.
Under "Shoes", click
"export diffuse", "export
opacity",
etc. to save your texture images.
Step
5:
Step
6:
Under "Skin", click
"launch" to open 4 skin
textures first,
and collect the modified ones
to be saved.
Under "Accessory" or
"Hair", select "Custom"
library and
click "add" to save
your accessories, hairs, and any
other
VNS files you want to be included
in this pack.
Step
7:
Step
8:
Prepare 4 folders: (1) Character
VNS; (2) Accessory VNS;
(3) Texture; (4) Promotion and
place your saved files to
the appropriate folders. Then,
zip them in a file.
Two promotion
image files should be included
in your
"Promotion Folder".
The first one is "Preview
Image" (size: 700*410 pixels;
under 100KB, PSD & JPG), and
includes your "Pack Name"
and "Author/Company"
in your image.
Step
9:
Step
10:
The other promotion
image file is "Thumbnail"
(size:
110*140 pixels; under 6KB, PSD
& JPG), and also
includes your "Pack Name"
in your image.
