The release of iClone G3 Character
base models will unleash your creativity in producing
contents. The base models can be divided into
five parts:
(1) G3 Standard base model;
(2) G3 Nude base model; (3) G3 CloneCloth base
model (coming after 2009 Q1);
(4) G3 CloneBone Character; (5) G3 Character Max
Template. In the other hand, iClone G2
Characters have 9 typical body shapes with refined
bone structures, enhanced mesh and skin texture
resolution, better motion and posing quality.
In particular, CloneCloth Characters provide dual
layers of Cloth mesh: the skin layer and the cloth
layer. Simply modify the opacity texture with
any image editor and you can design as many different
clothing styles as you can imagine.
Submission Type Matrix
Please
refer to the matrix below to identify the
possible alternatives for submission. There
are two types of G3 contents for submission:

proper type according to the base models you

The most significant difference between G1 and G2/G3 submission is that the VNS files of G2/G3 base models will not be included in your pack. Please refer to Reallusion EULA for more info. In other words, if you want to sell a character as VNS file, you need to transform the Max template into a different shape of character first. As to the submission type of G2/G3 Texture, your character must be disassembled into various kinds of textures like upper body, lower body, shoes, and skin. To clarify your submission process, follow the easy steps below:
*Note:
Process for submitting textures for applying to Certified Content Developers Program only need only to complete steps 1-7 and send to developer@reallusion.com with following information: Name Company or Alias Email Attention: Applying for G2/G3 Templates
There are
also two types of G2 contents for submission:
G2 Texture and G2
