Tips of the Month: 5 Steps to Transform Models
to Real Objects
There are different degrees of reflection
toward light as a result of the attribute of the material itself.
We can modify the contrast of reflection map through the function
of material in iClone to verify the degree of reflection on the
surface of an object while rendering. As long as the proper material
is selected, any real object can be created.
Example: Woody Ball
Call “Metal Ball” out from Prop > Gloss >
Object.
Open Modify > Generate UV and Map Setting > Diffuse and
import “Woody Material”.
Call a reflection map in hand from Modify > Generate UV and
Map Setting > Reflection > Launch in the appointed mapping
software (e.g. Photoshop 7.0).
Reduce the contrast of grayscale of the original image file
of the reflection map. Save it using the original name of the
file after adjustment.
Back to the window of Prop > Modify in iClone, you will see
the change of the light reflection that looks like a burnishing
woody ball after implementing the update.
